Wings is a Dehler 46 commissioned by Lindy and Ian Edwards and launched in November 2017. Built as a performance cruiser-racer, she combines a modern Judel/Vrolijk hull and sailplan with the comfort and systems expected for offshore cruising and extended ocean racing.

Over the years, Wings has built an extensive offshore campaign record. She has competed regularly in major blue-water and coastal events including the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, Sydney Noumea, Ponant Sydney Noumea, Groupama Around New Caledonia Race, and various Queensland race weeks such as Airlie Beach, Hamilton Island and Magnetic Island.

By 2024, Wings had accumulated close to 40,000 nautical miles of sailing since launch, a testament to her versatility and durability across both racing and cruising passages. Her campaign list also includes the Los Angeles to Hawaii Transpac Race, where she finished 13th overall, 5th in her division and 1st foreign yacht — a strong result against a competitive international fleet.

In the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, Wings has become a familiar competitor. She has completed multiple editions (2018, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024), with notable placements across divisions and overall standings, demonstrating her capability in challenging offshore conditions that encompass everything from coastal climbs to Southern Ocean swells.
